Cab Conundrum
The Cab Conundrum is an extended clue trail whereby teams dash around a local area in either people carriers or local taxi's! Working in teams, the group will be given several sheets of clues that they have to solve. Each sheet involves finding a particular location and is headed by a riddle, which the team have to solve to find the location. The team then tells the cab driver where they want to go, he will take them by the most direct route.
Within the area concerned there will be further cryptic clues that the teams have to solve on foot, and the clues will have different points values depending on the degree of difficulty.
Within the pack each team receives will be a sheet of photographs of historic buildings, features and monuments, and the team has to select a photograph for the location they are in. At the point the photograph was taken, will be the answer to one of the clue questions for that area. Also in the pack is a map, question sheet, pens, paper and 50 pence piece.
During the Clue Trail the teams have to also complete certain fun tasks. Armed with a Polaroid camera, they must take a picture of the team with someone/something famous and also photograph the team with a group of tourists. Other tasks involve finding the tackiest memento within the city; what is the highest value item the team can buy with 50p; and finding a brochure from a rival firm earns big bonus points!
During the clue trail, the teams will stop and have lunch in the venue of their choice - bonus points for unusual lunch dishes will be awarded!
Each team must try and score as many points as possible, and return to the hotel within the given time. However, it is not a race - it is the team with the most points that wins.
This is a fun, interesting and rewarding event which, although outside, isn't dependant on good weather, and will take the team to historic sites and various local points of interest within the area.
